as Olly Murs After leaving school with A-Levels in Music and Performing Arts, Rob Taylor's desire to make a career in the music industry led to an appearance on Jayne McDonald's Star For A Night.  Some weeks after his TV appearance Rob had a chance meeting with local-based soul legend, the late Edwin Starr and a relationship between the two was struck.  Rob wrote much music in which Edwin expressed an interest and during the subsequent studio time together Rob experienced first-hand the professionalism and techniques behind writing and producing music.  A number of Rob's songs were developed with Edwin which may eventually lead to a record release for Rob. Via his contact with Edwin, Rob has also worked with Edwin's band, The Team.

Rob has a unique, soulful vocal ability, hence much of his repertoire is R&B based, although his musical tastes are all-encompassing with Rob listing Mariah Carey and Luther Vandross among his favourite artistes.

Rob's drive ultimately led to his status as lead singer with the resident band at Butlins Bognor Regis after spending 2004 at Butlin's Minehead site.  Rob also took part in the various pantomimes and shows that were staged.

In January 2006 Rob's recording of 'Contact (Moon and Days Mix)' entered the COMMERCIAL POP CLUB CHART at #15.

Since 2008 Rob has been with the Bunn Leisure group, also based near Bognor at Selsey, where he cabarets, produces, and stars in shows the whole season.

Expect to see Rob on the circuit near you soon, as for now and the future Rob is dedicating his time to entertaining nationally.

Rob is now a very skilled and talented arranger/producer of dots(band arrangements) and/or backing/click tracks so is also able to offer this service.
